The woolpack Community Project

Very Much Missed Local’s Favorite Hang out Spot

BECOME A PART OF
THE WOOLPACK COMMUNTIY PROJECT

It is clear that The Woolpack isn’t just a building; it’s the heartbeat of Sutton Veny. There is something uniquely nostalgic about a local pub especially one with a history of rising from the ashes (literally, in this case).

While Sophia and Clive have clearly done a stellar job keeping the spirit alive at the Village Hall, nothing quite replaces the permanent “living room” of a community.

The Vision for The Woolpack

  • A Community Hub: Moving beyond just a pub to a space for coffee mornings, local meetings, and celebrations.
  • Honouring History: Acknowledging the legacy of Tim & Abbie while creating a sustainable future for the 1950s structure.
  • Local Investment: Highlighting that this isn’t just a purchase, but a way for residents to have a tangible stake in their village’s future.

Next Steps

If you want to see the doors of The Woolpack swing open once again, make sure you are in the loop. The organizers need a “headcount” of support to make this dream a reality.

Get Involved: Send an email to info@woolpack.org.uk to be added to the mailing list.

It sounds like a wonderful project. Community-run pubs often end up being more vibrant and successful than corporate ones because they are fuelled by genuine local love!
